Three for Three

Another Bosco is headed to BYU. Congrats Alexis!

(side note: Andrew had to work so he missed the graduation. Or he would be right in the middle of this goofiness.)

We get really excited when the camera is around.

All the seniors threw bouncy balls after everyone had walked. It looked SO cool. Of course I didn't get any pictures because I was enthralled.

Disneyland 2011

WE HAD A BLAST. We went to Disneyland/CA adventure for 3 days, the beach, and Universal Studios. We ate the most delicious food, and watched the most amazing show: World of Color. It would be worth it to drive to California for that show alone. INCREDIBLE.

I usually spend time ordering my pictures so they make chronological sense. This time I'm just going to give a little blerb if needed. This is in no order (I didn't want to spend the rest of my life trying to format these pictures...)

World of Color.

The water was freezing. Andrew braved this wave, and that's about as deep as we got.

Splash Mountain was closed, but we rode on Jurassic Park at Universal. Great ride. Great drop. Great movie. We are being crushed under the T-Rex's claw.

Andrew walking into the Simpson's equivalent to Walmart.

I'm lucky I didn't explode after this meal. Andrew had to ask me if I was really still hungry. It was sort of an out of body experience for me. There was unlimited cheddar cornbread, bbq drumsticks, and drinks in mason jars. I don't know how it all fit in me, but I did not stop.

World of Color. So cute, they play a bit with all the disney kisses. They project these images on a mist of water. It is indescribably amazing.

Andrew was in charge of the maps. He did such a good job.
Not quite strong enough to pull the sword out of the stone. Really? Look at those arms.

Rainforest Cafe. I died when the gorilla came to life and started pounding his chest. I had no idea they'd have lightning storms during our dinner either. What an interactive meal.

Above and Below: Blue Bayou restaurant in the Pirates ride. The food was amazing, but we definitely paid for the ambiance.

And before the party, I graduated!

Enjoy this short clip from World of Color.

Drum roll please...

She's going to the Argentina, Cordoba mission! We are so excited for her! Read her account of the call, or watch her open it.

And now, another drum roll.....

Andrew was accepted into the MACC (Masters of accounting) program at BYU, and I accepted a teaching job for next fall! I will be teaching a 5th/6th split class at Westridge Elementary school. I am thrilled to teach at the Elementary school I went to. I student taught at Westridge in a 5th/6th class and recently found out that I will be taking over that class which means I will know about half of my students before the year starts. That is a REAL bonus for a first year teacher.

As for the summer? Andrew is driving to SLC everyday for an internship, and I am.... well, if you hear about anyone that needs to hire for June and July, let me know!

Little Sister

My little sister is getting her mission call TOMORROW. I'm a little selfish when it comes to my siblings, and I bawled my eyes out when I found out that for sure she was going on a mission.

But you know what? She is so happy and excited to serve. She is doing the Lord's work. She is a lovely person, and will be loved by her companions, investigators, and everyone she meets. She will change lives and place hope in so many hearts. Here I am, bawling again as I type this, because I will miss her (as I know the rest of my family will). But I am also so proud of her. She'll be delivering the most wonderful message this earth has to offer, something I am so grateful for every day. She will be a fantastic missionary where ever she goes. Thank you for your example! I love you Ka!

I feel like this picture needs a little explanation... Two summers ago we took a family vacation to Las Vegas for my brother's basketball tournament (Andrew came as a boyfriend). Alexis packed nail polish and it shattered in the bag. We were laughing so hard. I went to get my mom (because moms can fix everything), but Alexis didn't want anyone else to see what happened. Collin jumped up to join the fun, so I repeated that she only wanted mom. Then everyone thought something else happened, and my dad and the boys did NOT want to get involved. Andrew got a little taste of what he'd be joining. :)

Who doesn't dress up on the forth of July? This is the year we won the "never to old to dress up" award. I think all the other prizes were given to children under the age of 5.

Any guesses where she'll be going?
