Hogle Zoo

This is our adorable nephew, Henry.
We met him and his parents, Adrienne and Jack, at the Hogle Zoo.
Henry LOVES the zoo.He knew exactly where he wanted to go; he held onto the map--and referred to it--the whole time. Notice the monkey backpack/leash. He wouldn't take that off either.

There was a portion of the adventure that Henry would ONLY go to Andrew, and he would absolutely not allow Andrew to put him down, even while he ate his peanut butter sandwich. Jack, Henry, and Adrienne

We couldn't take a picture of this, but there is a new attraction at the zoo called 'Natures Nightmares' which included paranas, huge spiders, gross and weird water creatures, and FREE FLYING BATS. Luckily none were swooping around when we walked through. They were just in a nasty clump squirming around in a tree. Our walk through the attraction began like this:

zoo worker: has anyone eaten fruit today?
us: yes, apple... grapes...etc.
zoo worker: you'll need this (gives us a squirt of hand sanitizer)
us: hmmm, what is in there?
zoo worker: free flying bats

after thought: what would have happened without the hand sanitizer?
